As I could not be at church to celebrate the Easter Vigil this year, I modified the order of Evening Prayer to include a renewal of baptismal vows and the Litany.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him; and he shall give thee thy heart’s desire.
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.
Collect for Easter Even: Grant, O Lord, that as we are baptized into the death of thy blessed Son our Saviour Jesus Christ, so by continual mortifying our corrupt affections we may be buried with him; and that, through the grave, and gate of death, we may pass to our joyful resurrection; for his merits, who died, and was buried, and rose again for us, thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth, we beseech you to hear our prayers tonight as though we cannot gather physically to worship, we are assembled together in spirit on this Easter Even.
We pray for all peoples of this earth tonight, especially the sick (including thy servant Tim), all those in hazard and risk from the coronavirus, all healthcare workers, all cleaning staff, the Queen’s armed force, all essential workers, the unemployed, the vulnerable, and all those who need prayer at this time.
We also pray for all those who have died because of the coronavirus, may they rest peacefully and join you in the kingdom of heaven; and we also pray for those that are grieving for the dead, wipe away their tears and take away their pain.
Christ, receive our prayers, deliver us from this plague, and grant us peace, love, and faithfulness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who died, was buried, rose again for us, and takest away our sins. Amen.
