All Saints Cathedral reopened for the first time since it closed due to COVID-19

The Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax, reopened for the first time after closing due to COVID-19. One had to register and reserve a seat online in order to attend. Although regulations permitted 50 to attend, there was only about 14 in attendance. Masks has to be worn at all times (except to consume communion (in one kind)) and there was no singing. The wooden chairs with kneelers were replaced with plastic chairs to facilitate cleaning.

God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God in him.

BCP Collect of the Day: Keep, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy Church with thy perpetual mercy; and, because the frailty of man without thee cannot but fall, keep us ever by thy help from all things hurtful, and lead us to all things profitable to our salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

RCL Collect: O God from your providing hand even the dissatisfied and grumbling receive what they need for their lives. Teach us your ways of justice and lead us to practice your generosity, so that we may live a life worthy of the gospel made known through your Son Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.
