Solemn/Sung Morning Prayer for The Second Sunday After Easter (Easter 2) and the Seventh Sunday in COVIDtide

Morning Prayer for Easter 2 and COVIDtide 7

Thanks to the Choirs of the Cathedrals of Guildford, Lincoln and Rochester for their music today. 🎼🎢🎡 πŸ“–πŸ›. The Lord is risen indeed. Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Almighty God, we thank you for this day and our continuing celebration of Easter. We continue to pray today for all those who have been affected by the COVID-19, especially for the sick (including our friend Tim), the vulnerable, the fearful, all healthcare workers, essential workers, the unemployed, and all others who are affected by this plague.
We pray for the victims of the mass shooting in Nova Scotia last Sunday and for all those grieving their loss: families, friends, and all Nova Scotia; that you may give them comfort during these most difficult times; help them bear their pain and sorrow. We pray that Nova Scotia may grow stronger, united as one community to serve and help each other in love and peace, not letting the hate filled actions of one man define us.
We continue to pray for our Sovereign Lady, Elizabeth, all her Governments, and her armed forces and law enforcement officers, that they be granted the necessary wisdom, resources, and power to overcome this challenging times and maintain peace and order throughout her dominions; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Collect of the Day: Almighty God, who hast given thine only Son to be unto us both a sacrifice for sin, and also an example of godly life: Give us grace that we may always most thankfully receive that his inestimable benefit, and also daily endeavour ourselves to follow the blessed steps of his most holy life; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
